Protección a la Joven de Oaxaca was founded in 1959 to support young indigenous women in their educational endeavors in the city of Oaxaca. The organization provides free housing in Casa de la Protección de la Joven as
well as provides educational opportunities to help develop integral life skills and promote the students´ unique cultural identities. Lingoax works with Protección a la Joven de Oaxaca by offering free classes and workshops to the young women in the area of Spanish literature and language, dance and theater, as well as high school and college preparatory courses.
